The information I would like to share, is a few photos of the installation, and how my installation was processed. I ordered the solar panel installation and more in May... read more 2023. At the time Rutland Renewables informed me of the waiting time due to the volume of work and the ordering the materials, scaffolding etc. The team kept in contact with me by the usual methods and updated me every few weeks up to the installation day. First the scaffolding a few day before, to be erected and then the exciting day of the installation. The engineers were great, kind and curious. The engineers working so hard in the 30 deg heat, and also answering my questions as they were sweating and working hard. Rutland Renewables director came along and trained me on how to use the two apps I have. Now I had 14 Solar Panels, 9.6Kwh Battery Storage, E.V. Charger, and an "EDDI" to give me free hot water everyday. Loving it! Then best of all, selling power back to the GRID. Best purchase Ive ever made! I believe I have chosen a great company, with total peace of mind with insurance backed Guarantee. Would I recommend them, oh yes! Hope this helps when choosing a company to install the various products you are thinking of purchasing.

20 Panel Array (8.3 kWp) Hybrid Inverter (5kW) Batteries 2 x 9.5 kW (19kw total) Located in the East Midlands. At the outset I sent the same email to... read more several companies both large and small requesting a quote. Not all companies responded!!! Out of those that did it was a mixed bag of info that I received, some fairly basic, some very detailed. I am fortunate that my roof can accommodate East, West and South facing panels yet only one company (Rutland Renewables) were able/willing to accommodate my request. I got the impression that the other companies didn’t want the additional hassle. Perhaps they wanted to avoid the G99 certification, I don’t know. As someone with no actual experience of Solar PV Installations I had lots of very basic questions yet Rutland responded politely, promptly but above all with the technical reasoning to back up their responses which I could of course look up and confirm online. There was no overselling of product, indeed Rutland produced a quote for a fairly small set up “Designed for a single person household” that would meet my current needs. As I own a fairly substantial property which my family will inherit eventually, I decided to get a bigger system to future proof the property to accommodate a family rather than a singleton. At my request Rutland and I eventually agreed on an installation that suited both current and future needs. The guys did a great job installing the new system, very polite and informative, with attention to detail and a respect for my property to the point of taking off their shoes when accessing the property. The onsite installation team were happy to answer my questions and queries in detail and in a “Jargon Free” way. Once the system was up and running, I was walked through the entire set up so I knew what the various isolators etc were for. They also walked me through the Givenergy phone app and its functions. The phone app and desktop versions are fascinating with lots of data and I’m quickly learning about the property base load etc which in turn will probably prompt me to not leave some items on standby overnight to conserve the battery and I’m already learning that with an abundance of FREE electricity its much better to boil a kettle when I want to wash a couple of cups rather than turn on the tap and burn EXPENSIVE gas and waste a load of water running the tap till it gets hot. A Win win situation. I’m sure I will learn more about load shifting (Maybe using the washing machine at a different time of day) or using a portable electric heater for a bit of additional heat instead of switching on the Gas Fired central heating as I get used to the new normal of FREE ELECTRICITY (Apart from the standing charge of course) I’m NOT motivated by “Green ideology” this is simply an upfront investment to reduce the cost of energy going forward and also allow a degree of energy independence (The system is designed to power the entire house in case of a grid power cut) At this stage, the system has only been in a week (Mid October) I can’t give figures on money saved, payback time etc however so far, I have had no need to draw electricity from the grid at all and once the system is fully registered etc I will even be able to sell electricity back to the supplier.
